Our flexure
shutter technology can be adapted to meet
a wide variety of applications. Customer specified
shutters are produced on a regular basis.
Special
research projects and design services are
offered primarily to our OEM customers, but
are extended to industrial and laboratory
applications if business volume is
substantial. We also offer semi-customs
that are typically simple modifications to apertures,
body geometry, or optical mirror and absorber
variations.

To complete
the system, custom electronic drivers, usually in PCB
format, are also designed to meet power, weight, and
size constraints.
Custom
products generally focus on one or two specific
features that need to be optimized. Most often these
are switching speed, holding efficiency, package
miniaturization, cost and weight.
Not all
features can be optimized simultaneously, since many
performance issues are convolved. The likely results
from several combinations and compromises can be
forecasted by our staff.
