Description

The high reliability LST218 optical shutter model is designed for use as a process shutter or moderate reaction safety interlock systems. Its solid copper package efficiently manages thermal flow, delivering the heat to the mounting surfaces. The LST218 has the same exterior dimensions as our popular LST200SLP model, with a larger (3 mm) aperture. The LST218 is designed to run on 12 VDC (direct drive), making the user drive circuit straightforward. This model will dissipate a maximum of 2.4 W thermal power when holding open.

Considerations for all shutters include proximity to high magnetic fields and strict observance of optical power rating. Subjecting shutter to “large” size dust particles and debris could inhibit shutter motion.
